From the Desk of Marvin
Ellis:
Precipitation
System: The continuous flow
&
return of water in various forms functioning
together in
the environment. GMS
Networking
System: The continous flow &
return
of business in various forms functioning together in
the work environment.
Not much difference
right?
By "watering" other businesses in The Network,
you are
indirectly "watering" your own. Be good to yourself,
get
involved!
Since our inception back in 1999, our
goal has been to support small business owners grow and
succeed. We do this in a variety of ways; The
Internet,
Trade Shows, E-Mail, etc... However, no service or
strategy
has ever trumped the change in focus we had in late 2000
when we
began to emphasize the importance of relationship
building and
MUTUAL INTERACTION among members. Technology
cannot replace the value of strong business
relationships.
In fact, when we hear potential members
say,
"I dont want to meet anyone", we can almost guess where that
business is headed. Even the most time-constrained
owners
know that their base is formed by key relationships and loyal
clientele. If a business isn't growing primarily by
word-of-mouth (i.e. relationships & referrals), it is
almost
certain that business is not going to be around in the
long
run.
Relationships are 2-way streets. The key to
The
Network "working" to perfection is Reciprocation!
It funtions like a weather system.
Without lakes
and oceans, we wouldn't have rain. Without rain, we
wouldn't
have oceans or lakes. Each depends on the other.
Just like
every living thing needs water to survive and grow, Every
quality
business needs relationships to survive and grow.
The GMS
Network functions like a business to business ecosystem!
If
you have been used by fellow members, reciprocate! Give
back! It doesn't have to be with the member that used
you,
but eventually what goes around, comes around. In
using
someone, you actually get more out of your membership, meet
a potential customer of your own, and will probably save
time and
money in the process. Be sure to let us know about
your experience as well. We will reciprocate with
rewards,
cash and more member benefits in the future.
In
short,
utilize other GMS members, give back and replenish. If
we work
together, we all get stronger!
September's morning breakfast meeting was a
lot of
fun. The desire of GMS Members to have a
monthly
morning venue to meet each other is now an ongoing
event. October's and November's breakfast meetings
are closed, but December still has room. These
fully
catered breakfasts are free if you attend and
are closed to guests. Bon
Apetit!

Marvin
Ellis takes 4th in Englishtown Raceway Points
Series!
Little
Marv
got 4th overall and the highest amongst 8-year olds in the
Englishtown Raceway Series in 2007! In August, he
clinched
his position with a 3rd place finish. After
spraining his
foot, he came on strong and is now #1 for his age in the
entire
state of New Jersey!
Brian also shrugged off
injuries
in August to take two 2nd place finishes and a 4th
in the
250 pro class. With another blown motor in early
September, it
looks like we are headed for pure Kawasaki down the home
stretch.
GMS is proud to announce yet another sponsor!
We would like to thank and welcome PAYMEDIA
to our team and can tell you that givemeservice.com has
switched
to their services without one glitch. We are saving
money
and the transition was smooth as silk. Ron and Allan
Valvano are the contacts! |
